5. Intellectual property

5.1 — TITU trade mark, content and software

The name TITU, its wordmark, its visual identity, its editorial texts, its illustrations, its interface and its source code are the exclusive property of KAWLET EURL and are protected by French and international intellectual property law.

Any reproduction, representation, alteration, publication, transmission or distortion, in whole or in part, by any means whatsoever and without the express authorisation of KAWLET EURL, is prohibited and would constitute infringement punishable under Articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

5.2 — Public data republished in the directory

The pitch directory and the club directory are built from public registers and open data produced by third parties. That data remains governed by its producer's licence: KAWLET EURL claims no ownership over it and redistributes it only on the terms those licences set.

The main sources are:

  • OpenStreetMap — © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL licence;
  • Data ES — the French sports facilities census (data.gouv.fr), under the Licence Ouverte;
  • Contains Data © Sport England — Active Places Power, under the CC BY 4.0 licence. This wording is a licence obligation: it is reproduced as is, without alteration;
  • the public register of associations (Sirene / RNA, via the DINUM "Recherche d'entreprises" API), under the Licence Ouverte;
  • Wikidata, under CC0;
  • the other national, regional or municipal public registers of the countries covered by the directory, each under its own licence (Open Government Licence, Datenlizenz Deutschland, KOGL, CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC0 and others).

Every directory page carries, in its footer, the exact attributions of the sources used for that page's country. Those notices are displayed verbatim, in their original language: they are neither translated nor reworded, because their wording is part of the obligation.

The full list, country by country, is published on the Sources and licences page.

5.3 — Competition data

TITU collects competition data (clubs, pitches, competitions, teams, season entries, fixtures, standings) into a private internal reserve, which is not publicly accessible. Only FACTS — a club's name, address, ground, level, fixtures, standings — are republished, and only where the licence, authorisation or contract applying to the source covers that use. A source that is not covered stays out of publication.

The sporting information displayed by TITU is found in the public results of competitions.

KAWLET EURL is not mandated by, affiliated with or a partner of any sporting federation, league or district. No federation transmits data to it.

No personal data relating to third parties — club officials, referees, contact details, named team sheets — is collected, stored or republished.

The individual statistics that may appear on a player's profile fall under a separate regime: they exist only where that player has claimed and confirmed them, and can be unlinked at any time from their profile, which erases them.

5.4 — Reporting

Anyone who considers that content published on titu.app infringes their rights, or that data concerning them is inaccurate, may write to yo@titu.app, stating:

  • the exact URL of the page concerned;
  • the data or content in dispute;
  • the right relied upon and, where applicable, the original source of the data.

Every report is examined. Disputed data may be withdrawn from publication for the time of that examination; inaccurate data is corrected or removed.

6. Personal data

Controller: KAWLET EURL, 15 Square Rameau, 59000 Lille, France.

Account and group data is hosted in the European Union (see section 3). Access to the service is restricted to people aged 16 or over.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, as well as the right to object to and to restrict processing.

Two of these rights are exercised directly from the app, without having to write to us:

  • pausing the account — the account is deactivated, the spots it held on upcoming sessions are handed back to the group and notifications stop; history and standings are kept, and the account can be reactivated;
  • deleting the account — deletion is permanent and erases the personal data attached to the account.

A player who has claimed a competition identity can also unlink it at any time from their profile; the attached statistics are then erased.

For anything else: yo@titu.app

The detail of the processing operations, purposes, retention periods and processors is set out in our Privacy policy.

7. Cookies

The titu.app site sets exactly two cookies, both strictly necessary for the service to work. On that basis, under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL's guidelines, they are exempt from consent: no cookie banner is displayed.

  • titu.locale — stores the language chosen for the interface. First-party cookie, 1 year. This preference is written both as a cookie and to localStorage: server-side routing can only read the cookie.
  • sb-…-auth-token — session cookie issued by Supabase, which keeps a member signed in. It exists only once you are signed in.

No audience-measurement cookie, no advertising cookie and no third-party tracker is set.

Usage measurement relies on PostHog (European Union region) and works through events named explicitly in our code: there is no automatic capture of pages and clicks, no session replay, and this setup sets no cookie.

Clicks through to third-party operators' booking offers are counted as a daily aggregate per offer, which keeps no IP address, no cookie, no account and no player identifier.

8. Limitation of liability

KAWLET EURL endeavours to ensure that the information published on the site is accurate, without being able to guarantee its accuracy, completeness or currency.

Directory and competition data. Information about pitches, clubs and competitions comes from third-party public sources and is republished as those sources publish it, with whatever errors, delays and gaps they may contain. It amounts to no certification, no guarantee that a facility is open, and no authorisation to access or use it. It is for the user to check the information with the operator or club concerned.

Booking offers. The slots, prices and availability displayed come from third-party operators and are snapshots, which may have changed by the time they are read. The booking, its price and its performance are the operator's responsibility alone.

Running sessions. TITU is an organising tool. Whether a session actually takes place, how participants behave and safety on the pitch are matters for the organisers and the players.

Accordingly, KAWLET EURL accepts no liability:

  • for any imprecision, inaccuracy or omission in the information available on the site;
  • for any damage resulting from a third party's fraudulent intrusion;
  • for any damage, direct or indirect, whatever its causes, origins, nature or consequences, caused by access to the site or by the impossibility of accessing it.

The site contains hyperlinks to other sites, in particular to the data sources cited and to pitch operators. KAWLET EURL exercises no control over those sites and accepts no liability for their content.

9. Applicable law

This legal notice is governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.

Mediation: under Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, a consumer may refer a dispute with a trader free of charge to a consumer mediator with a view to resolving it amicably. Any prior request must have been sent to KAWLET EURL in writing.
